They were a couple of broken souls.
A man who had loved and lost and a woman who didn't believe in romantic love at all.

Angel and Taryn have noticed each other since they moved to Fool's Gold...so when Angel approaches Taryn at the coffee shop and says they're inevitable she (and we) believe him!
And so the wooing and courtship begins, Angel is a patient man (i think he is more like a tease) and he knows exactly what he wants and he is willing to wait for it. And Taryn? Used to flings and the one more assertive, is quite attracted to Angel, who knows what he wants but at the same time, truly respect her and her independent ways.
And so the seduction begins, both agreeing that it would be just a fun time together, nothing too serious down the road..they both have scars that won't let them see a future with love for themselves.

But what happens when they realize, that the path they never thought to cross, is right in front of them?

Gosh, I had so much fun reading this! It starts with a bang, their banter in the coffee shop, that left me grinning like fool.
First of all I think I need to move too Fool's Gold, Cupid is getting way to busy there...and let's just say that the men over there are damn FINE!!

About the characters?
I LOVED Taryn and Angel...as individual and as a couple (oh glorious sexual tension)!
One of the things that I love in this series (besides each book can totally be read as a standalone) is that the romance isn't rushed, they get to know each other and of course truly liked each other.
The dark and dangerous Angel with a heart of gold, braiding little girls hair?
It's like kriptonite you guys! Now you're wondering how in the hell a scene like that happens? Haha, I'm so not telling!

Then we have strong, independent, sassy and fashionista Taryn, a perfect and so not obvious match for Angel.
She was so understanding of Angels "scars" and so when she opened up about her own vulnerabilities and fears, it was so emotional.

Anyway, I won't say much more, just that it's a great read!
If you're looking for romance, give this book a try.
