Rating: 4 stars
Read: March 20 to 23, 2013
Format Read: Kindle Edition

People often believed they were safer in the light, thinking monsters only came out at night. But safety -like light- is a facade. Underneath, the whole world is drenched in darkness.

And monsters are usually the ones we least expect them to be...

This was seriously one of the most disturbing books I ever read and I couldn't stop reading. It's the kind of story you CAN'T be indifferent towards it. It shows how the line that separates right from wrong can be so damn blurry.

There was only one obstacle remaining between him and vengeance. The last true test of his soullessness - willfully stripping someone of their freedom.

Vengeance. It's all Caleb wanted no matter the consequences.

He kidnaps Livvie in order to make her a slave sex, a pawn in his plan, to get the man who destroyed his life.

This is not a romance story.Caleb is not the prince that comes to the rescue, he is the one that made her captive.

It's gritty and raw. It's intense and heartbreaking...

I lay there, my eyes wide, my breath shallow, my soul defeated, and I stared into nothingness.

At first I didn't thought I could like the story. A guy that kidnaps a young woman to make her a sex slave? Just HELL NO!!

But that's the thing about the way C.J. Roberts write, you became enthralled, everything is so vivid and emotional. And i may add, quite brilliant to put it in dual POV.

Oh I hated Caleb, i lost count the times i said "bastard!!" or "you sick f*cker" and then like Olivia, when he showed kindness, I was just confused and ended up liking him a lot.

It was all I could say when I finished this book.
